First of all, Happy 2012! We hope it’s off to a good start and we wish you a year full of joy, beauty, peace, wonder and abundance.

Here by the waterfall, the year began with a flurry of intense activity, unloading, unpacking, taking everything apart and putting it all back together again. In one month, we’ve tripled our inventory and diversified it so dramatically we are overflowing with a bounty of exciting goodies (in case you’ve been wondering about those tents!).

Please join us for this exciting new event in Topanga Canyon! Jalan Jalan Imports is hosting its first Topanga Art Market by the magical Owl Falls. It will be a festive celebration of the Arts, with artists and craftspeople selling their wonderful creations (paintings, jewelry, raw chocolate and more!), Balinese food, massage therapy, and a great line-up of performance artists delighting us with music, dance and more!

For all you movie buffs and film enthusiasts out there, we are proud (and very excited) to announce that we will be hosting the Opening Night Party and the International Film Competition of this year’s Topanga Film Festival.

Topanga Film Festival at Jalan Jalan Imports

THURSDAY, July 28

9PM onwards - The Opening Night Party will be swingin’ like the good ol’ times with live music, food, refreshments and engaging conversations by the waterfall!

SATURDAY, July 30

6:30PM – Gates open to MORE music! KCRW’s Nic Harcourt will be spinning his tunes and setting the mood of the evening, once again with a food & refreshments.

8:30PM onwards – Screening of selections for the International Short Film Competition

Topanga Canyon Gallery Artist Tours

Dear Friends,

I have no idea if and when our “official” grand opening will be, but I can tell you that if you would like to check out Jalan Jalan Imports and say hello, this weekend, June 11 & 12 will be very happening. We are hosting 6 of the 40 artists on this year’s 10th annual Topanga Canyon Gallery Studio Tour, we will have Bali Steve and Koman selling home-made Indonesian/Balinese food and there will be live music throughout the day. You’ll even be able to say hi to my mom who is flying out from Tucson to attend! Bring your kids, hang out, feed the trout at the base of the waterfall and check out all the treasures I found in Bali. I attached a couple photos to give you an idea of the progress we’ve made. I hope to see you there.
