Unique Items No One Sells
Jalan Jalan is constantly on the lookout for unique items for no particular category that are just too special to pass up. In the last few trips, we have found artists who are hand carving water buffalo skulls, pounding world-class gongs out of bronze and manufacturing heirloom quality, hand-made glider horses.
Some of these items will have a designated section on this site. The one thing these items have in common is that they are hand crafted, visually stunning, more often than not functional and of the utmost quality. Shipping is available for some of these items, local delivery for others.
During our buying trips we always pick up “small” but special items that are must-haves around the home. We keep these items on hand for people who appreciate the aesthetic qualities of life (i.e. are sick of “buying generic” at Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware).
Woven baskets, carved bowls, hand-woven and dyed blankets, throws and runners, place mats and small to medium-sized wood carvings fall into this category. These items are not our main focus, but Jalan Jalan always has a handful of items in the gallery that are hand-crafted and make unique gifts for yourself or someone you care about.
