About 10 years ago we purchased the most comfortable Adirondack chair on the planet from a now defunct store on Abbot Kinney in Venice. Curved back, extra wide arms, the perfect design. But the chair was pine, and all the stain in the world couldn’t keep the legs from rotting. Unable to find the same design in magazines and stores, we disassembled the chair, took it to Bali and had it duplicated to its exact spesifications, except that instead of pine it’s now solid Javanese teak with a distressed finish.
